When to Retire Your FlagAccording to the U.S. Flag Code...Section: 176. Respect For the Flag
![]() If You Need To Retire Your Older, Damaged, Soiled or Tattered U.S. Flag:If you have a flag in need of retirement and do not have a local organization which collects American Flags for proper ceremonial burning, indicate on your order and we will send you a postage paid return envelope. We will see to it that your flag is respectfully retired by local Boy Scout Troops in conjunction with local Military personnel, Veterans and the VFW or American Legion. Thank you for taking care of your flag and for replacing it when it is no longer a fitting representation of our country. We Only Retire American Flags Do Not Mail us flags from other countries or state or seasonal flags. We will take any American Flag regardless of condition or size, as long as it fits in the return envelope. If the flag is dirty, please clean or wash it before mailing. Contact UsIf you cannot find an organization which will retire your U.S. Flag, please contact us. We will find an organization to retire your U.S. Flag.
